Lottery Results

Results are posted here immediately after the draw has taken place. To win a prize you must match all six numbers. If no one matches all six numbers in a Daily Draw or Weekly Draw, no prize will be awarded for that draw.

Winning the lottery can be a dream come true. But before you can win, you must know the lottery results. And, remember, the results are not conclusive until checked against the official records of the lottery you have played.

Forty-four states plus the District of Columbia, Puerto Rico and the U.S. Virgin Islands have state lotteries. The same 47 jurisdictions have Powerball, which is organized by MUSL (Multi-State Lottery Association). This organization was put together by the member lotteries as a nonprofit organization. Mega Millions can be played in all the above jurisdictions except Puerto Rico.

What Were the Winning Numbers in the Lottery Last Night?

The winning numbers in the lottery are going to depend on which state you are in and which lottery you're playing, unless you're playing one of the national lotteries, like Powerball or Mega Millions.

Determining the Winning Lottery Numbers
To determine the winning numbers for the lottery you are playing, you will first need to know when the lottery is drawn. Different lotteries are drawn on different days of the week. For instance, Powerball is drawn in Florida each Wednesday and Saturday. Mega Millions is drawn in Georgia each Tuesday and Friday. Then, if you are unable to watch the drawing on your local TV station, you can check your local newspaper or go online to get a full listing of lottery results.

What if You Miss This Week's Winning Numbers?

If you miss the lotto results for a week or more, you can go back by visiting the official website for the lottery you played, as well as other online services. To prevent errors in the reported numbers, the independent auditing firm oversees and confirms, before posting.

Do You Need All Numbers to Win Powerball?
Yes. You must get all five white balls right, plus the red Powerball to win Powerball. However, fewer correct numbers will win you the following prizes:

  • $1 million for all five white balls, but not the Powerball
  • $10,000 for four white balls, plus the Powerball
  • $100 for four white balls, but not the Powerball
  • $100 for three white balls, plus the Powerball
  • $7 for three white balls, but not the Powerball
  • $7 for two white balls, plus the Powerball
  • $4 for one white ball, plus the Powerball
  • $4 for just the Powerball

Paying an additional $1 for the Power Play option can increase your winnings by 2, 3, 4, 5 or even 10 times. The 10 multiplier only works for prizes of $50,000 or less, and only if the jackpot is less than $150 million.

How Much Do You Win if You Get One Number on Mega Millions?
If you match a white ball, you win nothing. But, if you match the gold ball in Mega Millions, you will win $2.00. However, if you have paid the extra $1.00 for the Megaplier, you could win up to $10.00. The Megapliers are good for 2, 3, 4 or 5 times the normal amount of the prize you would have won. In other words, if a 5x Megaplier is drawn before the Mega Millions drawing, and you match the gold ball, you would win $10.00 instead of $2.00. Your odds of matching just the gold ball is about 1 in 37. Your chances of getting a 5x multiplier are about 1 in 15.M

Do You Win Money if You Have 2 Numbers in Powerball?
No. Unfortunately, you must also match the Powerball to win a prize. The odds of getting two numbers, plus the Powerball are about 1 in 701. However, if you get one white ball, plus the Powerball, you will win $4.00. This can be increased by the Power Play option to up to $40.00. The odds of getting this combination are about 1 in 92.
